I got to know Yuly in the last two years of his life. He was one of the kindest and most gracious men I've ever known. We played chess together at the Vineyards clubhouse and during local tournaments. I especially recall how happy and proud he was when he introduced me to his lovely wife, Nina.
I miss Yuly and will always remember him fondly.
