William Morrison Lux, lll's Obituary
William "Bill" Morrison Lux III, age 61 of Milton, DE passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, April 2, 2023, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on October 20, 1961 in Darby, PA, son of William M. Lux, Jr. and Janet E. (Almeida) Lux.
Mr. Lux was a 1979 graduate of West Chester East High School. He continued his studies at West Chester University, obtaining a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Mr. Lux was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the US Coast Guard in Philadelphia, PA, retiring as a chief petty officer. He enjoyed a lengthy career as a probation and parole officer for the State of Delaware. On October 10, 1992, Mr. Lux married the love of his life, Alice M. Lux in Millersville, PA, and together they shared many beautiful years and memories. He was an avid outdoorsman and was in his element doing anything in nature, be it hunting, fishing, or relaxing on the beach .Mr. Lux enjoyed boating and riding his bike as well. He loved sharing his love of the outdoors with his family and many friends. Mr. Lux could often be found restoring classic cars, an activity that brought him great joy. An enthusiastic sports fan, he loved coaching baseball and soccer. His devotion to his family, however, took precedence above all. Mr. Lux was nothing less than a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by so many and will be forever missed.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lux is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Alice Marie Lux of Milton, DE; his children: Jessica Parker (Joshua), and Kyle Lux of DE; his granddaughter, Aubrey Leigh; his brother, David Lux of PA; his aunts and uncles; his nieces and nephews; his cousins; and his mother-in-law, Louise Terrill of PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Parsell funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM. If you choose, the family is asking attendees to wear purple in honor of pancreatic cancer awareness.
