William G. Parker Jr.'s Obituary
William G. Parker Jr, 73, of Harrington, DE passed away on March 13, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Bill, Dad, Poppy, or “Mr. Bill” as all who knew him as was born son of the late William G. Parker Sr. and June Adams Parker on November 25, 1950, and grew up in Northfield, NJ. He was an Air Force Veteran having served as a Morse Systems Operator. During his professional career he worked for 25 years, as a Senior Claims Adjustor for Atlantic Electric.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lori; his son, AJ and wife, Jeanine; daughter, Dawn and husband, Randy; was treasured and loved deeply by his 5 grandchildren, Lily, Brianna, Randolph, Sophia, and Gabbie.
Bill loved to coach his son AJ in hockey and daughter Dawn in softball as they were growing up. One of his favorite memories was taking his family to the Brigantine Wildlife Refuge in NJ. His many hobbies included playing his guitar, singing, golf, Ping-Pong, hockey, biking, and vacationing in the Outer Banks, NC. He was a good and kindhearted man who always extended many acts of kindness and love to those around him. He will always be in our hearts and on our minds.
A viewing will be held on Saturday March 23, 2024, at 2 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE where funeral services will begin at 3 PM.
Burial will be private at a later date at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
The family has requested for friends and family to wear cheerful colors.
