William J. Dugan's Obituary
William Joseph Dugan, age 64, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Dugan was born August 16, 1943 in Philadelphia, son of the late Francis and Margaret (Ritter) Dugan.
Mr. Dugan retired as a Service Technician for Verizon in 2002 after working more than 30 years in the telecommunication field. He was a very devout Catholic and a member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church. He was known for his generosity and charitable nature.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Dugan. He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann (O'Malley) Dugan; three daughters, Jennifer Marie Dugan of Clearwater, FL, Christina Alexis Dugan of New York, NY, and Kara Elizabeth Dugan of Allentown, PA; two sisters, Barbara Rufo of Folcroft, PA and Mary "Pat" Dubin of Milton, DE; and one brother, Francis Dugan of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 4, 2007, 11:00 AM at St. Edmond's Catholic Church, King Charles & Laurel Avenues, Rehoboth Beach, DE, with Father Raymond Forrester as Celebrant. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 3rd, 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Casa San Francisco, P.O. Box 38, Milton, DE 19968 or to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
