I had the pleasure of knowing Louise during the summer of 1994 when as a 22 year old student I arrived from Ireland with my sister to work for the summer in Rehoboth Beach. My sister and I had arranged to rent a trailer for the summer from Bill and Louise. We were met with a huge welcome from Louise who even collected us from the bus and brought us to our trailer- kitted out with an Irish flag to make us feel at home.
I will always remember the huge warmth and kindness that Louise and Bill showed us that summer. From lending us (and our friends) their car to go the mall or visit a nearby town, to generally looking out for our safety and well being, they genuinely took a huge interest in getting to know us and involve us in their lives.
19 years later that summer is a distant memory but I will always remember Louise as a warm, loving and caring person. My deepest sympathy to Bill and all the family.
