Mr. Thomas T. Mortenson's Obituary
Thomas T. Mortenson would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call on October 23, 2015, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Job security is exactly 110 percent. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, dancing, waterskiing and reading to his heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. He left instructions for his wife Alice Mortenson and children and their spouses Kim Mortenson Zimmerman & Mark B. Harbold and Laura Mortenson Pavlides & Matthew Pavlides along with grandchildren, Thomas W. Zimmerman, Jenna M. Zimmerman, John Thomas Pavlides & Christopher Pavlides as well as his sister, Judy Mortenson Gilmer Beach to celebrate his mission here, which has now been completed. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.
We want to let him know that he did a great job and wish him a safe journey. We will remember his smile, his warmth, his energy, his love for life, family and friends, but also colleagues and clients, many of whom over time also became friends. He worked very hard all his life, up until the very end. He made a difference in the lives of many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2 PM. An additional Celebration of Life and Interment will be held at a later date in Kennedy, MN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Midway Assembly of God, 34677 Old Postal Lane, Lewes, DE 19958.
Please sign Mr. Mortenson's online guestbook at this site.
FLORIST NOTE: PLEASE HAVE ALL FLORAL TRIBUTES DELIVERED BY 5 PM FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2015 TO OUR LEWES CHAPEL.
