Sandy Marcie Sokira's Obituary
On the evening of September 14,2025, the sun lost a little brightness and a new star was born to lead our way. Sandy Marcie Sokira gained her Angel Wings to join her beloved Poppop Dave, PeggyMom, Nanny Edna Marcie, Cousin Colin and a host of others to TRY to keep her in line. Sandy loved so big and so hard in her short 35 years that I'm sure there will be no problem finding her brightness. Sandy loved her nicknames and OWNED every single one; Sanders, Sandman, Sissy, Aunt Sissy, Devil Child, SanSan Edna and a whole host of others. Sandys most loved things besides her family were her HUNDREDS of "Littles" who were the children she never had any desire to have. She could spoil them and give them right back. She was the best "Fake Aunt" any of them could ever have. Oh and her Jeep .. her Salty Biotch. If you know you know.
Sandy is survived by the people who loved her more than life itself; Her Dad Ed Sokira and Bonnie, Her Mom Sue Sokira and Tony Monti, Her Mommom Lucy and Linda Martin, Her Brudder Jonathan Sokira and Sissy Ashley Her pride and joy, and official nieces and nephews Bailey boo, Bella Bean , Isaiah (Zeek) and Davey Joe (DJ) Her Sister Vicky Favinger and John and Jackson Her Brother Eddie Crossan Her Uncle/Brother Bobbles Kennedy and Jill with her inseparable Cousins Rees, Owen, Gavin and Connor and never to be forgotten our Angel Colin. Her Uncle Cindy and Aunt Michael and Morgan Her favorite nonblood Aunties Lynn, Carol and Tina Her Bilodeau Families, And a whole host of other family members.
Sandy and the family and especially myself would like to thank our work FAMILIES at Beebe Healthcare and Christiana Care for your outpouring of love and support. Please keep her family, Framily, Friends and coworkers in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the next years and decades with the biggest hole in our hearts that has been created.
WE would love to have anyone that would like to be present to join us for a Celebration of Sandy's Life and Legacy on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 11-3pm. Please dress as casual as you care. Bring a story share a smile and a single finger salute to Cranston Heights Fire Company, 3306 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE 19808.
