Condolences to the family. I got to know Mr. Bob Burke as the Chairman at Bank of New York (DE). This was my first professional job out of college. I was in awe of how he always tried to get to know employees by their first name. He often offered positive encouragement. This world could use more kind and caring leaders like Bob Burke. RIP
In was honored enough to play in a fantasy football league with Bob and his family for several years (thanks Mike). I had the utmost respect for Bob. He was simply such a good person.. Though these times were fun and friendly, I also learned alot about leading people and banking from Bob. He was a great man who I both admired and cared for. Rest easy knowing his soul is surely in heaven.
