Richard (Dick) Kellagher, age 80, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE where he received loving care for the past four years. He was born on October 28, 1935 in P Read Obituary
Growing up next door to the Kellaghers provided me many great and funny memories of Mr. Kellagher. He was larger than life and made us all laugh. Rich Watts and I were talking about the old neighbor today and it made me realize lucky we were.

Steve and I arrived home yesterday to receive your sad news dear Anne. We will always treasure our time with you and Dick in Danville, CA. He was a perfect and gracious host, and boy did he ever know history. He gave us the tour of a lifetime in and around San Francisco and Napa. His wonderful sense of humor made difficult times better. I feel sad knowing he is no longer on the planet. It was made better for his presence. Prayers to you all. You are in our thoughts and hearts.

All who have met or worked for Dick will never forget him. Like many, I had the opportunity to work for Dick during my career with Hallmark Cards. For me it was a time when I needed direction and a mentor to help me grow and take on more responsibilities. There was not a better man to make this happen. Dick created a challenging, rewarding and enjoyable working environment. He was looked up to by his peers and was instrumental in encouraging many, including myself, to have long successful working careers with Hallmark Cards.

Dick was one of the best managers I had during my career at Hallmark Cards. He was absolutely the funniest and one that was respected by all. He was a straight shooter and you always knew where he stood. I respected and liked Dick a great deal and am so sad that he is now gone, but he will be remembered by me for the rest of my life.
