Peter (Pete) Joseph Popovich, age 91, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at home. He was born Monday, August 25, 1924 in Baltimore, MD, to Daniel and Margaret (Daniels) Popovich. Pete was a graduate of Conra Read Obituary
I met Peter when he volunteered at Casa San Francisco, in Milton. Peter was always kind, and could bring a smile to everyone's face. He became a friend to all who knew him. He shared his stories and wisdom with all who worked with him. Peter will be missed. I am sorry, I could not attend his services. I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure and meeting and working with Pete (and Dave) for a couple of years at the St. John the Beloved bingo. I always looked forward to that monthly group and listening to some of Pete's stories. I know he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am so sorry I was unable to make the service. Pete was a great friend to my dad and literally forced his way into seeing him in the hospital during the last days of his life. My dad and I were grateful for his visit and for his many years of friendship. Now they can be together again. Growing up in Stanton we all knew how great of a man Mr P was. And how well he
taught his family to do the right thing---especially his sons Dave & Tom who were in
my class. Recently saw him and his bride at Hertrich's buying a new toyota--smart!

When I was about 6 years old, cousin Pete came out to the Crick to service our old Philco B&W television. He stuck a color foil over the screen mean to simulate color TV. He asked us all what we thought and we all gave him thumbs down and Pete laughed out loud with us. He and I often recalled that memory among other great stories. RIP
