I had the pleasure of spending time with Pat as a co-worker, as a friend, and as a Hobie Cat Sailor. He was an excellent engineer and made significant contributions to cutting edge research and development projects for the defense of the US. We travelled together, worked hard all day, and enjoyed each other’s company when the work day was done. We raced Hobie Cats together and shared the excitement with our (patient) families. Fair winds and following seas to Pat.
I was so fond of Pat and had the privilege to work wth him for 25+ years. He taught me so much and shared so much of his knowledge. When I introduced him as my Boss to others, he would say I’m really her co-worker; I thought how humble he is. He was a great mentor to me. He made such an impact in Naval communications and with those he worked with. I am truly saddened to hear the news of his passing. He will always be fondly held in my heart.
