My heart is broken as I read the news letter for Az List of Pam’s passing. I met Pam in 2005 when she came to Tucson to recruit a group of us to join the start of AZ List. Then she became my neighbor and had me helping more with Az List and ACLU. I will never forget her knowledge and strength.

I met Pam freshman year at Wells. Lost touch for years, but then Pam called and invited me and my kid to dinner when she was on a trip to the Keys a few years ago. She was vibrant then — supporting progressive (mostly women) candidates and civil rights with different groups in the DC area, and in Tucson. My then-teenager summed up our warm night with Pam with the observation: ‘Is there ANYTHING your friend DOESN’T care about?’ She cared a lot and tried to make the world more fair.
I met Pam at college, Wells College. She was the easiest person to talk to and get along with. She was super smart, very friendly and just an all-round superb person. The world has lost a very bright light and she will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
I first met Pam so many years ago when we were involved with Arizona Theater Company. Then we found we shared a love for Beauviers and we lived just blocks from each other. When she moved back to DC we caught up again as we had moved to Maryland and she invited me to stay with her to attend the first Women’s March. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing.
