My family and children will never forget how great of a Pop, step- dad, Mike was. He has instilled some great life lessons in me and my especially my children. My kids enjoyed going fresh water fishing, manly large mouth bass fishing. Of course they would keep track, who had the most fish caught, or the biggest fish. I know my kids will forever remember those Cherished times. Rest In Peace Michael me darling. Love you favorite step daughter and your loving grand babies 💕

My heartfelt condolences goes out to the entire Puka family. We lost a good man and even a better person. I had the privilege of working with Mike for the past 15 years. We spent a lot of time together going to/from ships in the middle of the night. It was always great seeing his warm smile. Mike’s easy going personality made connecting with him easy, He loved talking about his wife Jennifer and his dog Frankie and once in a while about the fish that got away! Mike beamed with pride when he talked about his daughter Kaitlyn’s academic success at NC State and U Penn. His smile even got bigger when Kaitlyn graduated U Penn with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and he use to say I now have a Veterinarian in the family. I was blessed to know Mike over the last 15 years, and my heart, prayers, and condolences goes out to the entire Puka family.
