I am saddened to learn of Mike's recent passing. I was privileged to work with him as the "new kid" at Schering Plough. He fostered an environment of collaboration, and made me feel valued as a team member. I learned a lot under his tutelage, and will always remember my time in his lab fondly. My heartfelt condolences to out to Linda, Mike, Meghan, and all those whose lives Mike touched. May his memory be a blessing, bringing more smiles than tears.
So saddened to hear of Mikes passing - He was my mentor when I began my career in
Virology at Schering-Plough. He made the work challenging but fun and Was always driven for innovation. I looked up to Mike as a humanitarian and husband and father and too. I appreciated his advice in family matters as well. Linda, Mike and Meghan my deepest thoughts and prayers to you - God Bless
So many wonderful memories from our camping trips to Lake George. The lost glasses, the gin and tonic happy hours, his great crab cakes, but most of all, the great fun we all had together. You will be missed brother.

I worked with Mike for many years during his tenure at Schering-Plough, in Antiviral Drug Discovery. We made numerous discoveries including many scientific breakthroughs, all due to his careful, patient, and dogged pursuit of the truth. Never did Mike lose sight of the goal to alleviate human suffering due to infectious disease caused by viruses. Mike was fun, smart and caring. I cherish the memories of laughing, crying (there’s no crying in the lab!) and jumping for joy. Mike had an immense impact on so many people’s lives and his absence will be profoundly felt. To the Murray Family and wide collection of friends, go forward in your lives carrying these memories and make Mike proud of the times he shared with us.
