My uncle Mike was one of the best story tellers. I can remember the stories he told me when I was young. The war stories about Japanese planes crashing into the ship he was on in the Battle Of Leyte Gulf would keep me and my brother entertained for hours. when he came down to Florida we would talk about golf for hours. I will certainly miss him.

Michael Kardash exemplified the character traits of his parents and of his generation. He was a kind person, a modest man, and a conscientious citizen. My Uncle Mike always greeted people with a nice smile and always expressed a genuine interest in and concern for other people. His personal qualities, especially his sense of humor, were very similar to one of his brothers, my father John. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
