Michael B. Dempsey's Obituary
Michael Bryan Dempsey, age 42 of Millsboro, DE passed away at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on September 7, 1981, in Staten Island, NY, son of Catherine and the late Joseph Dempsey.
Michael's career path led him to work as an overnight stock associate for Giant Food. He always gave his best and earned the respect of all around him. Michael was an avid reader and sci-fi fan, as well as a collector of comic books, baseball cards and graphic tees. Most of all, Michael treasured spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, and friend. His presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
In addition to his father, Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Virginia Sheehy and John and Genieve Dempsey. He is survived by his mother, Catherine Dempsey; his sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Brian Novotny; his aunts Barbara Ryan, Virginia McGinley, and Kathleen Kelleher; and his partner Marianne Hagen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive #1689, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends and family can visit for a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
