Maxine and my Dad, Charlie Peduto, were great friends and neighbors and we shared time together talking about their lives, WWII, their joy of family and especially grandchildren. She used to call my Dad "My Hero" because she said she had never met a Purple Heart Recipient before. She would pick his brain for history and stories of his experiences. Her monthly outings and luncheons were enjoyed by several of her close friends and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed their friendship and times together. Maxine was an amazing woman with a heart 10 times bigger than her small frame. I pray that her family will find peace in knowing that she lived her life to the fullest and touched so many people with her sweet smile and open arms. I loved her dearly.
