in honor of Maureen.

There are not enough words to describe Maureen. She was selfless, she ALWAYS put others before herself! She loved life & traveled the world, ALWAYS bringing me home a keepsake or an autograph of a famous person on the flight! Too many memories to sum up here. I thank God for all the trips I had the pleasure of experiencing with Maureen. I will treasure every memory of the "Lake House" in Brookfield, CT. I will strive to continue my "Friend of Bill W." journey by the beautiful, courageous example & legacy Maureen leaves behind. She faced & fought many tough battles over the past 33 years. She was always there for me during the struggles & difficulties in my life. Whenever I complained about "living life on life's terms" Maureen would say: "move a muscle, change a thought". She always encouraged me to stay the course, "one day at a time". She has inspired & helped so many people by her kindness, courage, understanding & compassion. She will never be forgotten! Fly high with the Angels, Maureen, you earned your wings a long, long time ago! I hope you like our final resting place across from "Our Lady Star of the Sea"! I will miss you forever!

Maureen was my best friend growing up in Inwood, like a sister,
all through grammar school at GSS, and Aquinas HS
In High school, I lived with her gracious family for months after a fire in our home. So kind and compassionate she shared her room and anything I needed
I spent a summer in their Wildwood home so we could work together.
Maureen showed me the ropes of waitressing in a busy beach setting.
She however was fast as lightening! No wonder she became such a great Airline stewardess!
Always did everything with great fun and laughter
A great Irish Dancer, Maureen taught me so many Irish steps
She could leap across the room in no time!!
We learned all the latest dances and songs and enjoyed dances at Good Shepherd, Tolentine and the Knights of Columbus.
We had many mutual friends wherever we went. Her personality was like a magnet, she was always fun, lighthearted, and sincere.
Maureen was my Maid of honor, as the closest friend to me and was very close to my family as well. Maureen lived the dream she always wanted as an airline stewardess. Although she traveled and our worlds kept us apart, our friendship stayed forever.
She will be greatly missed ...until we meet again.

Live, love, laugh… Aunt Maureen is doing it all now, eternally! She always was so incredibly generous. When I was little and wanted a pool, she showed up at my house with a large kiddy pool that we could all enjoy. She took me to the beach in Wildwood and would put me on rides, buy me treats, and even play games. She took me skiing in New York as a teenager and let me order takeout lasagna. She took my brothers, mom and I to California to show us the sites after my dad died. Then when I had kids, she did the same kinds of things with them. I was blessed to be able to give back to her these past few years. I consider it an honor that she trusted me (most of the time, lol). I will always think of her, especially when I see a diet caffeine free Coke, Wawa soft pretzel chocolate hostess cupcake, turkey sandwich or medium rare steak! I love you Aunt Maureen! Please pray for me now that you are in Heaven interceding for us (and yes, I got your sign!!!)

I first met Maureen through my sister, Tricia Sharp and over the years I came to know her at occasional lunches and dinners. She was always kind, generous, and thoughtful. When I was newly retired and struggling with my home computer while working on a book, she kindly offered to help me with typing, even though she barely knew me then. I always admired her deep spirituality and good heart. She was a beautiful soul and will be missed by many.
