Marylou and husband Gene were my landlords when I moved in Vineland, NJ. I was a newly divorced mother of three, struggling to pay my rent on time, and trying to make sense of my new life. Marylou baked cookies for my kids routinely, she sent them over with Gene, and loved on us so tenderly. Gene processed my taxes free of charge, made living in the little orange house on Landis Avenue an absolute pleasure, as it was always maintained in good repair. Every time I visit Vineland, NJ, I stop in to see them but last month and earlier this week when I visited there was no answer at the door. I'm so touched by the beautiful tribute page. It is very soothing for me to be able to share what is in my heart about this amazing couple and family. I had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer once or maybe twice. She was taking care of her parents the last time I had the great fortune of seeing Gene for what I didn't know would be the last time. Marylou was resting and I was not able to see her during that last visit. What a blessing to have such parents and landlords of this nature. I'm leaving my contact information for the children of Marylou & Gene.
