Marie Pedersen Wik, 91, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was born in Mandal, Norway on the 3rd of April 1923 to Jenny Storaker and Daniel Pedersen. She graduated from West Orange High School in Read Obituary
Marie was a class individual, in side and out. She was an inspiration in her doggedness to maintain daily exercise no matter what the weather
condition. She was a friend and fellow Pilottown walker who is much missed.
Marie stitched a pillow for me with a snow man figure, with the inscription "Love Never Melts"! Well, Marie, nor will your memory or friendship.

As a member of the pilottown Village HOA I knew Marie rather well. She would always give me her guidance when I obviously needed it. I helped her with some trees in her backyard, cutting off some offending branches with my chainsaw. The day was hot and Marie kept me hydrated. In appreciation she took my wife, Barbara and I out to lunch. She was most gracious and as the Grande Dame of PV, she set the standard which will be very difficult, if not impossible to achieve ever again. d We all miss her. She has now joined John on a white, gleaming yacht sailing effortlessly in a sea of clouds. RIP
It was always a pleasure to see Maire at church, beautifully dressed and smiling. Marie agreed to sew 50 bookmarks for the Congo Walk and while I was at her home, she showed me many beautiful quilts she had made. She loved her husband and family dearly. I know she will be missed. May God give her family peace and comfort at this time,knowing she is happy with the Lord now.

I have missed having Marie next door in Lewes. I referred to her as a posterchild for positive aging. She welcomed me to the community and always had an interesting story. Marie wowed me with her ability to ocean swim daily into her 80's and had a beautiful generous spirit. I know she is enjoying her reunion with the love of her life, John. Peace to her beloved family

Marie was one of the most wonderful ladies I have ever met. Sweet, strong, gentle and kind. She was a woman of God and a dear friend. She will be sorely missed and fondly remembered
I am deeply sorry to learn of
Marie's passing. I lived next to Marie at 218 Oceanview for several years and had the pleasure of getting to know and befriend her. She was a truly lovely, talented and fiercely independent woman who really enjoyed her life. I am honored to have known Marie.
