Maria Rita Chinaglia's Obituary
Maria Rita Chinaglia, 73, of Carrara, Italy, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro, DE. She was born on June 12, 1950, to Mario and Giovanna Chinaglia (Rossi).
"Rita", as she was affectionately known by her friends, made her career as a Customer Service Representative at United Jersey Bank where she worked for 25 years after retiring in April 2009. She was passionate about a great many things but among them were her love to cook, working on home projects, eating out with friends, never meeting a lobster that she didn't like, sharing a glass of wine, and going out on her brother in law's boat. More than these though was her absolute love of her animals especially her own Lucina, Puffina, Girlina, Kohlita, Zoppi, Bianco, Big Guy, and Brother. "Rita" is known for having a wonderful sense of humor and a very caring heart and will be truly missed by everyone that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mario and Giovanna Chinaglia and her beloved brother, legendary soccer star Giorgio Chinaglia (#9), her sister-in-law Peggy and her husband Dave. "Rita" is survived by her life partner Teresa Cirino; brothers-in-law Stephen Cirino and his wife Donna and Frank Cirino; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Wayne and her husband Bob and her friend who was like a sister Mary Petrone; nieces and nephews Jason, Danielle, Gabe, Rob, John, Katie, Deanna and Anthony; great-nieces and great-nephews Jessica, Mike, Joelle, Dylan, Julia, Lia, Corrina, Liam, Elena, Avelina, Leo, Myles, Nora, Owen and Jennie.
