Margaret F. Rupp's Obituary
Margaret "Marge" Frances Rupp, age 69 of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at her niece's home in Laurel, DE after a long battle with Progressive Super Nuclear Palsy. She was born in Alabama, on Saturday, March 6, 1948, daughter of the late Curt and Ruth (Duck) Porter.
Mrs. Rupp graduated from Ridley High School, Class of 1966. She went on to enjoy a career with PECO as an administrative assistant for many years. Mrs. Rupp's hobbies included playing Pinochle and various other card games. She also enjoyed meeting her friends for a cocktail at the Moose Lodge, watching The Big Bang Theory, and traveling; Jamaica being among her favorite destinations. She loved to entertain and was an excellent cook, as evidenced by anyone who was fortunate enough to sit at her table. Above all, she cherished time spent with her loved ones and friends. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Rupp was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Rupp; her son, Jason Rupp; and her sister, Patricia Patterson. She is survived by her nieces: Cindy Forde (Rick), and Marybeth Patterson Burke (Ron); her nephew, Mark Patterson (Cheri); her great-nephews: Devin Burke, Gavin Burke, Mark Patterson, and Jake Patterson; and her great-nieces: Jessica Pisasale, Rachel Burke, and Kaia Patterson.
A Memorial Service will be held on December 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM, at the Gulf Cove Moose Lodge, 4212 N. Access Road C; Englewood, FL. Mrs. Rupp's final disposition will be in the place she loved so much: the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Jamaica, where she will join her beloved husband and son on December 21, 2017. Arrangements handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Georgetown, DE.
