Mr. O'Brien,
For my mother Mary Jane Jensen, I want to say how sorry we are to hear of Peggy's passing away. Mom is so very sad but remembers all the good times that you all had with my father Bill and her in Delaware. I had the pleasure to meet you and Peggy during a visit to Delaware. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time.
Best regards, Karl Jensen
I worked with Peggy at census. She was quiet but strong. Funny but not disrespectful. Loved to laugh! A beautiful Christian. Loved her family more than anything. She was so excited when Michael came to DC. God has blessed you. See you down the road. Marty
I met Peggy in the summer of 1979, my first day at the census bureau. She came up to me and said, "Hello", I'm Margaret O' Brien." I said, "the famous child star? I've always wanted to meet you!" She laughed and that started our friendship. Laughter -- thst is what our friendship was built upon. We found humor in other things that other people missed! We have kept in touch with each other sharing stories about our children, grandchildren ad great-grandchildren. I have only met a few people in my life that have shared the joy of laughter. Now one of them is gone and I will forever mis my laughing friend.
WE ENJOYED MANY HAPPY DAYS TOGETHER AT CENSUS. WE WERE CALLED THE THREE "P" (PEGGY, PILAR AND PIERINA) SHE ENJOYED HER GRAND CHILDREN AND WOULD ALWAYS TELL US STORIES ABOUT THEM. SHE WOULD MAKE US LAUGH ABOUT SOME THINGS SHE WOULD TELL ABOUT THE KIDS.
BLESSINGS AND LOVE
PIERINA
I had lunch with Peg and our regular lunch bunch every day until she retired from the Census Bureau. We talked laughed and shared the stories of our lives. We loved our times together.
