Louise Margaret Pearce's Obituary
Louise Margaret Pearce, age 81, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. She was born on May 18, 1941, in Cambridge, MA, daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Thompson) Sullivan.
Ms. Pearce enjoyed a lengthy career with the National Security Agency. After retiring from government service, she relocated to be closer to the salt air of the Delaware Seashore and made her home in Rehoboth Beach. She loved being social and she made many meaningful friendships while living here. She was an expert baker, and it brought her great delight to share her homemade cookies. She was an avid sports fan and could frequently be found cheering on her favorite teams at Kings Creek Country Club and she was also known to be a competitive and skilled bridge player. Her devotion to her family, however, took precedence above all. Ms. Pearce was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be deeply and genuinely missed by those who had the good fortune to know her.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pearce was preceded in death by her siblings, Katherine Amman, and Thomas Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Blanco (Ramiro, Jr.); her son, Brian Pearce (Katherine); her grandchildren: Robert (Megan) and Nicole Blanco, and Anna, Lily, and Mary Pearce; her sister-in-law: Lou Ellen Sullivan, Patrick (Holly) Sullivan, Declan, and Darcy. Her brother: Michael Sullivan (Nina Girma-Michael) nephews: Kalkidan, Thaddeus, and Joshua Michael, Chris Ammann (Ivy), and great-nieces, Chloe, and Jordyn Ammann.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Ms. Pearce’s memory to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Attn: Membership Department, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 or www.cbf.org.
