Lou- You left us too soon - way too soon. We miss you, Bud! I know you’re up there discussing the upcoming Phillies season with Ron.
Our families have had so many experiences, adventures and years together over the last 40 years. Most were planned and organized by you, Lou. Thank you for all of these and thanks for the memories! We’re checking in on Barb.
Dear Barb,
Yesterday Rick Hall informed me of Lou’s passing. I was shocked and saddened to hear this news and I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I’ve known Lou since our high school days. We had classes together and played on the varsity basketball team. He was bright, caring and always fun to be around. I was fortunate to reconnect with Lou when our colleges played against each other in athletics and later in life when our credit union board needed to purchase software. I’m so glad that Lou and I were able to see each other at our 50th high school reunion and that my wife and I were able to meet you. I will always treasure these memories of Lou and I wish you and your family the best as you carry on. God bless.
Sincerely,
Gene Frantz

Don and I were stunned to hear the news about Lou from his longtime friend, Mel Bacon. We have been awaiting news of his service and decided to look into his death notice somewhere close by. Have been out of touch for many years, but never forgot about he and Barb. Didn't realize they no longer live in the area. Our sincere condolences extend to his family and all those lives he touched. He sure touched ours in many ways, through baseball as Don had picked he and Mel to help him coach the 1983 Dela. BabeRuth Team to a National Title in Newark, Ohio. I will always remember his wonderful voice that rings in my ears when I think of those years.
In ✝️️ Christian love, Don & Ina Andrews, Elkton, Md.
My deepest condolences to wife Barb and family. He was a ray of sunshine in our Strength and Balance class at LSAC. I will always remember his funny remarks and superficial growling when exercising. Always had a smile and a laugh to share. Will miss him❤️
So very sad to hear of Lou’s passing. My prayers go out to Barb & the family. Remember the good times.
Lou was part of a dear group of Red Cross colleagues with whom I had the pleasure and honored of working. Always diligent, trustworthy insightful, and with a wicked sense of humor. He was a man of high integrity. While he presented himself as a "numbers" guy, he was compassionate to the core. I will miss him at our 'reunions'. Barb and family, please know you rest on my heart and in my prayers.
Deepest sympathy to Lou's family and friend. Lou was always the voice of reason while I worked with him at the Red Cross....and was a "rock" when I needed support. I loved his sense of humor. He was a wonderful man.
