Lorraine Theresa Ward
January 13, 1932 – February 25, 2025
After 93 beautiful trips around the sun, we share with heavy hearts the passing of Lorraine Theresa Ward (née Bennis)—a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to all who knew her.
Born in New York City, Lorraine met the love of her life, Patrick J. Ward, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and love, calling many places home—including Singapore and Dallas, Texas—where they created lifelong memories and cherished friendships. In retirement, they split their time between Florida, New Jersey, and Delaware, enjoying the company of loved ones and the joys of family.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick J. Ward, and their daughter, Grace T. Ward.
She is survived by her children: Patricia K. Ward, Patrick J. Ward, John E. Ward and wife Daun, and their son John P. Ward, Lorraine K.W. Perone and her children Patrick M. and Mary L. Perone.
Mom, we will miss you deeply, but your love, wisdom, and laughter will stay with us always. You taught us how to love, how to laugh, and how to cherish the moments—sometimes all at once. Though we shed tears, we will also celebrate you, just as you would want us to.
Your journey here is complete, and now it’s time to dance once more in heaven’s embrace—hand in hand with Dad.
