As a Caltex Petroleum employee for 27 years my memory of Lorraine with Pat in Singapore and yes many other times with Pat. My statement about Lorraine and Pat was a simple one, they were both about the most normal and down to earth people I interacted with in my corporate life, never putting on airs even as the company Chairman and his wife, always kind and considerate to young people, like myself, at the time now 74.
Perhaps kindred spirits as NJ folks but many memories of interactions that demonstrated their warmth and kindness. I remember first meeting them both overseas at our house and admiring such a great couple, we laughed at their anecdote about an earlier executive telling them how you could get Persian style carpets cut to fit your bathroom dimensions, as NJ regular folks chuckling at that idea! Later at 30 when my father passed away of course Pat came to the funeral, even though unneccessry, just the way he was, and Lorraine the same. As said great considerate and kind human beings! RIP both Wards, you are fondly remembered by so many!
