Carol and family, and friends, my profound sympathy.
It was my distinct pleasure to meet Lee when we both attended the School of Radio and Television Broadcasting in NY City…a world all new to me. We became friends. He was my mentor, sharing his knowledge of acting, directing, and producing that eventually helped me make my way into video production. Lee and I worked together on some business meetings, he made it fun. I was always learning.
Along the way I was invited to the Jones apartment on 67th Street, in NYC, where on very special evenings Lee and Carol gathered a distinct, eclectic, talented group of folks. I considered myself a very lucky person to be included in this impressive group. I could not wait for my next invitation…and of course the hero sandwiches.
At one point Lee and I had this hot idea that we could make our way into standup comedy. We exchanged, what we thought were current, funny, clever ideas. We had some laughs. Unfortunately it lasted as long as it takes to read this paragraph.
When Lee and Carol moved to Rehoboth Beach and Lee would call…he was always Lee. Interested, and involved. And of course the family, he always kept me up to date.
As I write this I am looking at Lee’s bio picture. He was one hell of a guy.
