Kevin Jared Kenney's Obituary
Kevin Jared Kenney, age 62 of Dagsboro, DE, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. He was born in Stoughton, MA on April 3, 1959, son of the late John and Lucy Kenney of Ft. Myers, FL.
Kevin was born and raised in Stoughton and graduated from University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. Following his education, he moved to the Washington DC area and began a career with the Department of the Navy. After a 30+ year distinguished career with the Navy, Kevin retired as the IWS 1 AEGIS Production PAPM in 2016.
Kevin’s interests were many and varied. He enjoyed sports, particularly New England Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox. Kevin loved the outdoors and was especially at home on the water, fishing and boating. Above all, he cherished time with those he held most dear. Kevin was a loving and devoted husband, step father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him, especially his beloved dog, Jasper.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Dellelo. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Joanne Davis; his stepchildren: Katie Burns (Bryant Parker) and Conor Burns; his brother, Larry Kenney (Beverly) of Lakeville, MA; his brother-in-law, Stephen Dellelo of Easton, MA; and his nieces and nephews: Matthew Dellelo of Hingham, MA, Jennifer Boerema of Davenport, IA, Rayna Kenney of Campton, NH, and Jonathan Kenney of Lakeville, MA.
