Kevin hired me into the Government 11 years ago, taking a chance on me without knowing much about me, which I will always be grateful for. I learned a great deal from him over the years and it was definitely an experience working for him. Kevin was so well respected within the Navy and with our Industry Partners for his knowledge of Aegis Production - he knew his job better than most and knew exactly what was important and what wasn't. He and I talked a couple months ago, and he was speaking fondly of his relaxed life in Delaware and that he was getting ready to fully retire and enjoy life to its fullest. He was truly happy and that will be my lasting memory of Kevin. May he rest in peace.

Kevin was an amazing friend. My fondest memory was when he took us deep sea fishing with Joanne, Katie and Bryant. My wife Claudia was 8 months pregnant and insisted on going and she was the only woman that didn’t get sick. Great times and then we sat and drank beers all night while selecting our sons name with the help of Joanne, Kevin and Jasper

Kevin was a best friend to me. I’m sure he was a best friend to countless other people.
He was the best man at my wedding.
Kevin had a zest for life and I learned so much about life from him. I am grateful for the friendship we shared.
We are all blessed to have known him. His memory will be with us forever.

Kevin was an amazing person and a great partner. He expected high performance and then simultaneously helped and supported everyone around him to reach and exceed those expectations. And when he did have to lay out some accountability, it was always from a perspective of genuine caring for the person and the mission. The US Navy and our Nation are well equipped and better prepared because of his efforts, passion, and commitment. He will be missed.

Kevin Kenney in this world was a terrific guy. He was supremely competent in the world of production of AEGIS weapons systems, and shared his gifts there in many ways that made possible capabilities in the US Navy, the Missile Defense Agency, and allied Navies. He was always ready with imaginative solutions to problems of getting a weapons system produced, tested, and where it needed to go. On the personal side, he was a fun loving and energetic person known for bringing people together on a golf course,a fishing boat, or other venue to be able to play hard as well as work hard. I did not know much about his family life, but I feel in my heart that he was the same way there. I personally am missing him already, and he was gone much to early in his life. His example should make all of us who are north of his age count our blessings and live life to the fullest every day. May God bless Kevin in his new posting in heaven.
