Kathleen H. Small's Obituary
Kathleen H. Small, age 79, of Lewes, DE passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on October 11, 1943, in White Plains, NY, daughter of the late Ivan and Marjorie (Goodman) Hale.
A native of Westchester County in New York, she adopted Lewes Delaware as her final home. Kathleen was a wife of 61 years, a mother of three children and grandmother of five as well as a beloved sister, aunt, and daughter. She and her husband worked tirelessly to provide their children and grandchildren with opportunities. She was very proud of their achievements.
Kathleen was a beloved friend to many and spent years working in the airline industry. She worked at the Westchester County airport and spent her final years working at the Marriot in Rehoboth Beach. She is remembered fondly by the many people she worked and interacted with. Kathy was loved by all who knew her. She will be deeply and genuinely missed.
In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her son, Edgar Small of Newark, Delaware. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Edgar P. Small of Lewes, DE; her daughters: Heather Gismondi, and Stacey Gotham of New York and Massachusetts; her daughter- in -law, Wendy Small of Newark, DE; her son- in- law, Fred Gismondi; and her five beloved grandchildren: Robert, Ben, Julia, Sophia, and Katie. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Janet, and brother, Louis as well as her brothers -in -law, Jerry and George Small, and her sister-in-law, Becky Hale.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Atkins-Lodge Chapel,16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
