Kathleen Lou Reinhold's Obituary
Kathleen Lou Reinhold, age 75 of Magnolia, Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Christiana Care Hospital, in Newark, Delaware. She was born on December 15, 1946, in New Prague, MN, daughter of the late Curtis and Genevieve Nelson.
Kathy was proudly born and raised in Minnesota. She was a graduate of Abbott Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1964. Upon her graduation, she moved to New York and worked as a Registered Nurse for Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, where she met the love of her life, Raymond Reinhold. The couple married and eventually moved to the southern New Jersey, where they raised their family and remained for the next 40 years. She was a second mom to many, always opening her home to neighborhood friends. Kathy and Ray moved to Delaware in 2012 to be closer to their children and beloved grandchildren.
Kathy had many interests and hobbies. She loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering with enthusiasm at countless baseball games, softball games, and swim meets over the years. She also enjoyed playing cards and Rumi cube with friends and family and was an avid reader. Time spent with her loved ones, especially holidays and vacations, was cherished above all. Kathy was a loving, nurturing, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Raymond Reinhold of Magnolia; her son, Eric Reinhold (Sarah) of Lewes, DE; her daughter, Lisa Marshall (Steve) of Middletown, DE; her grandchildren: Josh and Jenna Reinhold and Abbie and Kayleigh Marshall; and her brother, Tom Nelson (Linda) of MO.
A memorial service will be held privately.
