Kathleen J. Hilton's Obituary
Kathleen (Kathy) Judith Hilton, 66, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away on April 30, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on December 20, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Frances Hilton. She grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, and attended Paint Branch High School and The American School of the Hague, where she graduated in 1977. Kathy went on to be a proud Terp and Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Maryland for her undergraduate degree in nursing. After graduating in 1981, she completed dental school at The University of Maryland at Baltimore.
After receiving her degrees, Kathy worked as a dentist for many years. Her sense of adventure brought her from the Baltimore harbor to the deserts of New Mexico and the mountains of Colorado, taking care of everyone’s smiles along the way. While in New Mexico, she had the unique opportunity to give back and provide dental services to the Navajo people on reservation.
Kathy was always outdoors, and she was happiest in the mountains. An avid skier and mountain biker, she loved pushing her physical strength and found adventure everywhere she could. She shared her passion for fitness with others as a fitness instructor, gym owner, and road racer for much of her life. After every finish line she crossed, she was already eyeing the next challenge to take on. In the rare moments when she wasn’t on the slopes or in the gym, Kathy was snuggled close with her beloved cats.
Kathy Hilton is survived by her sister, Laurie Hilton Krick (Richard Krick, Jr.), and her nieces, Shelby Wenner (Joseph Wenner) and Shannon Krick. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances and Raymond. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to America's ToothFairy or Dental Lifeline Network.
Though she is deeply missed, Kathy’s bright spirit, boundless strength, and joyful heart will live on with her friends and family.
