I am sorry for the delay as I have been traveling, but moreover, trying to process what I wanted to say. The Kathy I know was at her very best. We met in Baltimore, where she was first my aerobics instructor and then our family dentist. The years followed with us training and competing in inline skate marathons and then an epic move to Colorado - where the true Dr. Kathy (as my boys called her) love of fitness and the great mountain life embodied her soul. I was there when she planted her Dad’s tree and still have the acorns from its harvest. Even though she has been away from her happy place for many years, those roots are deep. RIP, my friend. A Gatoradarita (tequila and electrolytes) toast to you, and hope you are skiing the shit out of those clouds.
