My Aunt Kathy was more than aunt to me. She was like a big sister to me especially when I was younger. I would go to my grandmother’s house and go into Kathy’s bedroom and she would play the latest 78 record,, from Teeny Weeny Yellow Poka Dot Bikini To the Beat to a Different Drum. In high school she would take me shopping and I could talk to her about anything. I always looked forward to holidays when I knew I would get to see her. She became more than an aunt , she became a friend and was my Maid of Honor. Though we lived far apart and didn’t see each other as often as I wish I could have, are hearts were close. Kathy always made it easy to talk to her. The last time we were together, we laughed so hard trying to get a good picture of us. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Even when she was sick she carried herself with amazing grace. Kathy, I love you and will miss you. Sending Michael , Kate and Regina’s family peace at this time. With love, from Janet and Ron
