Joseph F. Egan's Obituary
Joseph ”Jay” F. Egan, Jr, age 50, of Lewes, DE, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 12, 2011 at his residence. Born on January 30, 1960 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Sr. and Eileen (Houlihan) Egan.
Jay was a resident of Delaware for the past 20 years, where he worked in various restaurants in Rehoboth Beach and Lewes. Jay loved the beach, enjoyed snow skiing and loved his family, especially his two daughters, Cate and Keeley Egan.
In addition to his daughters, both of Rehoboth Beach, Jay is survived by two sisters, Nora E. Egan of Arlington, VA and Kathleen Egan of Schenectady, NY, one brother: Michael M. Eagan and Laurie DeMichele, of Scotia, NY and his former wife, Carolyn Toggas of Rehoboth Beach.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway. Lewes. Jay’s Family will greet friends beginning at 3:00 PM.
Interment will be later in Schenectady, NY.
