To the Family of John Strauss:
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of John. He was an amazing person with so much compassion in helping others. Many times when I worked as a Police Officer it was always comforting to know John would always have my back when he was working as a dispatcher. As you can see by his accomplishments in life he was by far a very dedicated and caring person. He will truly be missed by so many people that he has met through his life time. By far one of the best memories I have of John is how he chuckled whenever he laughed. Rest in peace John~~

John B. Smith Jr., Operator 15, and his wife Beverly are sorry to hear of John's passing. We send our condolences now as we will be unable to attend the memorial luncheon in Lambertville.
John was my mentor and trainer at the HMC courier job. He was a hard working and thoughtful person who did the right thing. He always had the patience to see that I learned correctly and I guess that's where his teaching skills were most apparent. As long as you were willing to learn, John was more than willing to teach. he always had a good story, a greeting and a kind word. My condolences to Barbara and John's entire family.

My condolences to your family for your loss of such a wonderful man. I have fond memories of him at East Amwell especially watching Jason play basketball. May he rest in peace. Mary Venettone
My sincere condolences to all John's family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I always appreciated John having my 6 when he was a HCC Dispatcher.
John was a true friend to everyone who knew him. I really enjoyed having him as my duty crew partner. He was a great EMT and we shared many an Adventure together. In recent years we were able to catch up when we ran into each other at the Shop-Rite. John truly loved his wife Barbara and his sons. He was very proud of all their accomplishments. He loved to show off photos of monumental events, graduations, wedding, and grandchildren. John will be shining down on his family and friends. We hope that in sharing your fond thoughts and memories of John with those who Loved him it will bring you Peace.
With Deepest Sympathies,
The Rustay Family
