John L. Fisher's Obituary
John L. Fisher, age 69, of Millsboro, DE passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. He was born on November 29, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Lester and Elizabeth (Berberich) Fisher.
Mr. Fisher was a 1965 graduate of Triton High School in Runnemede, NJ. He worked for the PSE&G at Salem Nuclear Plant in New Jersey and later at the Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Lower Alloways Creek, NJ, from which he retired as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
For many years, Mr. Fisher coached basketball, volleyball and track for grades K-12. He was a wiz at solving jigsaw puzzles. During warm weather, he loved boating and fishing on the Delaware waters.
Mr. Fisher is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Susan M. (O'Donnell) Fisher of Millsboro, DE; three daughters: Sharon Bigwood and her husband, Bob, of Woolwich Township, NJ, Rita Conway and her husband, Bryan, of Brooklawn, NJ and Erin Weston and her husband Steve of Mullica Hill, NJ; a granddaughter, Madelyn Rose Bigwood and a grandson, Jameson Michael Conway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, 30839 Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Fisher's memory to Sterling High School, Athletic Department, 501 S. Warwick Road, Somerdale, NJ 08083.
