As I read the obituary for Mr. Hanley, I was truly impressed by the outstanding and full life he lived. Never-the-less, 73 years of life is still much too short. How thankful we are that our grand Creator, Jehovah plans to restore his original purpose and make it possible for all mankind (including our loved ones we have lost in death) to live forever under perfect conditions. (Matthew 6:10; Job 14:14 & 15). Please accept our condolences as you deal with the loss of Mr. Hanley and contemplate the hope of seeing him once again.

Susan & I are so sorry that we can't be with you all on Saturday but will be thinking of you.
"Big Jack" was very much a larger than life character with a huge personality, matched only by his love for his family. His passing will leave a huge void in everyone's life.

I loved when Uncle Jack was at the beach. He was always a happy, funny guy. He always had a wise-cracking joke. I will miss him this summer and his yellow Volkswagon bug that he parked wherever he pleased at Sea Colony!! May he rest in peace. He will be missed.

Hanley Family,

I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about your John's passing. I was truly shocked. I worked with your Dad for many years here at the City of Wilmington. He was so funny and personable. He always made me laugh. I ran into him about 2 years ago when he was teaching a class to some of the City Water employees. He looked exactly the same from the last time I saw him. It was so good to see him. He was a great engineer and was truly one of a kind.
