Joan C. Wentzel's Obituary
Joan C. Wentzel, age 70, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, died Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Christiana Medical Center Newark, DE. She was born in Upland, PA on July 30, 1938 daughter of the late Harvey Earl and Clara (Rankin) Wentzel.
For many years Mrs. Wentzel had been employed as a legal secretary. She was a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church, Rehoboth Beach where she served as a Deacon and was in charge of the alter floral arrangements for services. As a volunteer she served with the Beebe Medical Center Auxillary where she was a buyer for the gift shop. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Village Improvement Association in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Survivors include her sons Edgar A. Green, III of Woodland Hills, CA, Gregory A. Green of Woodlyn, PA, three daughters, Diana L. Green of Ridley Park , PA, Jodi L. Margadonna of Ridley Park, PA, Randy Ellen Green of Swathmore, PA; a brother Harvey Earl Wentzel, Jr. of Everson, PA and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Westminster Presbyterian Church, King Charles Street & Laurel Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 with the Rev. Dr. Frank S. Deming, Jr. officiating, where friends may call one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 Kings Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971- Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc. Lewes, DE
