I am so glad I had the honor of doing Joan’s hair every Friday afternoon at 1:00. When I would get finished with her hair she would look in the mirror, smile and say “ you did your magic again”. I will never forget those words. I looked forward to seeing Joan every Friday and she enjoyed getting her hair done every Friday. She will be greatly missed by many.

I met Joan's beautiful daughter at a local bank 45plus years ago. It wasn't long after that I was introduced to Joan. She lived in Painters Crossing apartments and was in a transition point of her life. She told Sandi that I was okay as I had a lil education.... at that point I didnt think she ever expected to become one of the most loveable Mother in Laws on the planet. Even after almost 50 years of back n forth teasing ...I like to think that deep down she was into it because she knew I was worthy of her sense of quirky twisted humor. Trips to Cape Hatteras, Camping at Henelopen or just sharing a laugh over home cooked meal Joan treated me with respect and appreciation. After all I was the veteran Son in Law ...the one she just couldn't shake off or somehow do without. She was always confident I would be there for her family and friends in times of joy or need. It dawns on me that Joan knew me longer and better than most of the people that have come into my life. It's going to be impossible not to remember beauty her when I see my wife. Even more difficult will be simply not having a worthy sparring partner ...even though she usually got the win.
Joan Wagner...Thank you for making my life wonderful and molding me into the man I am today. I miss and love you and look forward to going at it with you one more time with God as our referee.....
