Joan Carter Taylor, age 86 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 12th, 2019 at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, DE. She was born on October 29, 1932 in Ocean City, NJ, daughter of the late Charles and Read Obituary
As a child I used to see Mrs. Taylor at the Bridgeville Publi Library all the time. On Thursday evenings my mom worked there and sat at desk next to her. I would spend time sitting on Mrs. Taylor's lap while she very patiently talked with with me. She was very sweet. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family.
My sincere condolences to the family. Despite the years separating us, I have a host of loving childhood memories. Countless nights camping and fishing with Chuckie, watching her and Stanley square dance, Easter baskets on Spring Break, and "those darn low flying aircraft." May she rest in peace. And so long as we speak her name, my Aunt Joan will never die.

Thoughts and prayers are being sent to the family. Joan was a wonderful woman always a friendly smile when I would take my girls to the library when they were younger. Sweet, sweet woman.
I remember, many times , getting a phone call from the old Bridgeville Public Library saying,” Hi. This is Joan at the Bridgeville Library and you have a book ready for pick up.” Whenever I went to the library, Miss Joan would offer suggestions about interesting books or movies. She was always kind and helpful. After her health declined, I checked up on Miss Joan occasionally, through Kathy, and sent her rocks that my husband had painted. Miss Joan was a very special lady! ❤️
