Dear Fetterman Family,

Deepest condolences from the Falk family of PA. The large Falk tribe has beautiful and heart-warming memories of Jean and children. Growing up on the "Sock" was like no other place. When the Falk kids get together and reminisce about our childhood, stories are often told and intertwined with memories of the Fetterman kids. All of you and your mother are as much a part of our childhood as the place itself. Jean is remembered as a funny and kind soul - and our lives were better with all of you in it. Remembering Aunt Jean ...... Jan (Sanger) and I did not see Jean often but usually spoke with her around Christmas and always whenever there was a death or serious illness in the family. When David called to say their mom had died Jan and I both had the same thought which was that her death was something we thought we might never see. Obviously that is not a rational thought, but Jean just seemed to never change, always rolling right along, optimistically and enthusiastically. Jean ways worked to keep the news of Junior's family up to date. Jan's dad Ray Sanger was the big brother to Junior and their sister Rita. Jean kept those ties alive after both Ray and Junior had passed. We look forward to a great reunion in the Lord's presence and in His time. George and Jan Trapp

I had the blessing of knowing Jean for 50+ years since working for her at Sears when I was in college. She was my role model of how to be a woman manager in the world when they were in the vast minority. She was also a model of how to be a loving wife and mother. For the ensuing years she was a mentor, friend, and "mom." Although I lived all over he country we connected every year and I saw her a number of times.

Two years ago we finally got to visit her at the storied cabin in Williamsport. When Tom and I moved back to Delaware in December after 47 years away, I was so excited to be within a half hour of Jean. This picture was taken when she came for lunch this February. She was a dynamic force of positive energy in her younger years and a continuing source of wisdom and love throughout my life. My dear Jean, I look forward to eternity with you in the future, but for now I will miss your wonderful heart and caring. With all my love, Linda (Swanson, and Tom too)
