Jimmy was a 'Great Guy' and we have wonderful memories of fun get togethers with Jim and Punky. Our sincere sympathies to all of the Popes.

Jimmy saw the notice of your dad's passing in the Washington Post. Please accept my condolences. I knew your dad when we were growing up in Bethesda and he truly was a loving and caring father. My mom and dad have passed away in the last few years so I know this can be a difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.e
I could not imagine growing up next door to another family other than the Popes. Your mom and dad were, and stil are, such an important part of my life.

What wonderful memories I have of Jim and Punky, my beloved classmates.. Best friends...Bridesmaid in their wedding...Lots of bridge and laughter. They were THE perfect couple since grade school. Jim was a remarkable husband, parent and friend to everybody. You have my prayers and sympathy.
