I'm saddened to hear of the death of Jim Lynch who was one of my uncle's crewmates on board the LST 562. I had talked with Jim about his service several years back for a oral history that I published for the crew in 2008. I enjoyed talking with him very much, and pray for his family in this sad time. "Fair winds sailor, and calm seas to take you home"
A wonderful person will be missed.
