Iva Short Booth , age 90, of Georgetown, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Georgetown, DE, on September 1, 1925 of the late Alden P. and Doris Messick Short. She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Booth in 1999 and a son Al Booth in 1992,
Mrs. Booth was a faithful supporter of her church and community having served in many capacities over the years, too numerous to mention. However, her main passion was her family.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Parker and husband Clifton of Frankford, DE; four sons, J. Spencer Booth and wife Lynn of Hebron, CT, George E. Booth and wife Linda of Selbyville, DE, James M. Booth and wife Jean of Beaver Dam, KY, and Joseph W. Booth and wife Margie of Georgetown, DE; one sister Ann Short Wilson and husband Robert of Lancaster, PA; 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 102 East Laurel Street, Georgetown, DE. where friends may call at the church beginning at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be private at Union Cemetery, Georgetown, DE.
