Homer and I attended Lexington High School together, he was two years behind me. We frequently sat together on the school bus en route to school, and by the time I was a junior and Homer was a freshman, we discussed international relations, history, and U.S. politics. Homer was very bright, kind, and friendly, and I feel priviledeged to have known Homer for a brief part of our teenage lives.
