Harry was a great neighbor. He was handy at everything. I found the way to get Harry's attention without calling him or ringing his doorbell. All I needed to do was to open my garage door. When it opened and I started doing something, Harry would stroll down his driveway and call out "Hey Kev, what are you working on?" I would tell him, and the next thing I knew, he was going back up his driveway to get the exact tool or material to help me. He had every tool imaginable and the materials needed for any project under the sun.
One of his favorite tools was his chain saw. He was always at the ready to cut an old tree or to cut up a tree downed in a storm. He also loved splitting the wood. He took the hard job. While I loaded the wood on the splitter, he had his hand at the ready on the power level. When ready, he pushed the lever and let me know that he was exhausted doing this, but he would continue through all the sweat and pain to get the job done.
He loved working in his yard and when he purchased the zero-turn mower, he was in the yard even more. Sometimes he would just drive up the road to talk to another neighbor.
He loved his red sports car and could be seen tooling around the neighborhood with a big smile on his face as he passed you with the top down.
Harry, you were a great neighbor and friend. Camilla and I will remember and think of you often.
Evelyn, you know you can count on us whenever you need something. Of course, I can't see when your garage door is open to come over, so we will need to develop another method on non-verbal communication when working projects.
