It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gerald Anthony Brock, age 80, a native of Choupic, LA and a resident of Millsboro, DE on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was born on November 4, 1942, in Chackbay, Read Obituary
Gerry was a special giving person. I remember looking forward to visiting with him and Kathy at Fogleman family reunions.
When we would visit the Washington DC area Gerry was a tour guide for us taking us around and telling us about all the DC monuments. I will always remember him.

I am eternally grateful to Gerald & Kathy (and Karen) for taking me into their home for a few months in my mid 20’s while I tried to accumulate enough money with my new job to afford a suitable place to live. Gerald continuously helped me with support and optimism, Kathy fed me and ensured I was always comfortable, and Karen was tolerant that I took away her movie getaway in the basement. Not only did I have an opportunity to get closer to my older brother and his family, but it’s because of Gerald that I eventually chose a 22 year career in the military which changed my life forever! Gerald, his advice and entertaining stories will be deeply missed. I love you Bro!
Rick and I met Kathy on a hot summer day in 2006. They were looking over their home being built and when we saw neighbors, we walked down to say hello. We were thrilled they were Marylanders and would be moving in soon. We have enjoyed their friendship and will miss Gerry. He certainly could tell a story and excelled with his dishes of shrimp creole and jambalaya. Grey is resting with the angels.
Gerald was very loving and much loved. Oh, he had a lot of tales to tell! Mostly to be taken with a grain of salt. I will sorely miss his visits and his extensive knowledge of family history. Love you big brother.
Gerald would tell Maria and me such outrageous stories, and we’d be wide-eyed as we listened, not knowing if we could believe him.
One such tale was about when he was a single young man, and he was driving a convertible, completely naked. A beautiful blond woman figured into that somehow, but I was too naive to ask how.
Gerald was a unique person full of humor and intelligence, and I will miss his funny jokes, and crazy stories, and big hugs. Rest in peace, dear brother. ❤️
