We will never forget all the golf trips and the great times we had. Going to miss you pal.
Today I just found out my dearest friend of 21 years has past. Frank “The Colonel” Cavanaugh.
He watched each of you grow up and some of you be born into this world. He was more than just a consultant to my business. He was my consigliare, mentor, friend of our family and closest friend to me.
He retired from the Army as a lieutenant Colonel. As a former Marine I never held this against him…he was “The Colonel” my Colonel and my friend.
He became a consultant for businesses and that is how we met. It started with the meat plant in 2004 then later PSI. PSI wouldn’t be what it is today without him.
His wisdom and guidance was an intrical part of my life, both professional and personal.
He was firm with his opinions very direct, but he always allowed room for others opinions even when different. I was grateful for that.
I loved his humor. Military type. 1 each. He used to ask me how my Girl Scout, my swabby and jarhead we’re doing….Military type, 1 each. He made me laugh. He loved my sons. He loved Melissa. He loved that she was direct but was impressed over the years to watch her professionalism grow. I remember his expression when she finished college to be a tech…”Jesus, Mary and Joseph she’s gonna work circles around your techs”.
He used to marvel at Kathleen and Jacob as each time he saw them they were growing so fast.
I will miss my mentor. I will miss my friend. Your shoes will never be replaced. You were one of a kind. I salute you an have always had the greatest respect for you. I’m thankful for the last visit we shared together. I’m grateful to have known you and had you part of my life and my families life.
I love you Frank and will miss you.
TIL we meet again.

He was great man and I respected the hell out of him. I enjoyed the brief interactions and moments we shared. He was a very knowledgeable man and the colonel always had my deepest interest in anything that he spoke of. I enjoyed our talks. He was a crucial part of our family and business and he will be surely missed. Semper Fidelis Colonel. Keep those gates guarded until Marines can get there to relieve you. Your watch is over. We will carry it now.

We visited Frank and Carleen in their house in Bethlehem on April 16th 2011.
The occasion was Sarah's and Peter's Wedding Shower.
Frank took us out to the garden: our task was to find and count many Gnomes ( which were his hobby) scattered between plants.
